About the role
Space management is key for all the aspects of operational success including safety, quality and productivity at FCs. From 2025 in MEATR region, we dedicate a single-threaded leader (Space SME) along with one Space Management Lead in each of the five countries to standardize and improve our space management strategy in the region.
The team of MEATR Space Management will lead the continuous improvement initiative and take care all the KTLO (Keep The Lights On) configuration changes for any space management related topics.
At Amazon, Space management in FCs refers to "the strategic and efficient utilization of available storage capacity to optimize inventory storage and operations". In MEATR, we break it down into the seven major buckets:
- Standardization/optimization of space management configurations (5S and KTLO of space management)
- Stow strategy (proactive inventory placement optimization)
- Consolidation strategy (reactive inventory placement optimization)
- Quantifiable performance tracking (Documenting space MBR/WBR P0 metrics)
- Bridging between Capacity Planning and Operation
- FC Launch Support
- Development of the space management team in MEATR

responsibilities
- Data collection and analysis to support the Space Management Lead to make the right decision
- Documentation of the space management practice AMET in the form of Wiki and SOP
- Perform the space management related configuration changes to standardize the configuration all across the region
- Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities/projects to improve the space management practice at each FCs which particularly focus on the standardization

Requirements
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Experience in a fast-paced, automated, industrial, logistics, production or manufacturing environment
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts and best practices
