Senior Solutions Architect, MENAT

We are looking for experienced and motivated technologists who possess a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills. You will partner with many companies, AWS Sales and several other AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers. As a trusted customer advocate, the solutions architect will help organizations understand leading practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. We work backwards from our customer strategic objectives to help them determine the appropriate technology path to follow in order to create value for their business and their customers.

AWS Sales Group is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

• As a key member of the SA team, ensure success in designing, building and modernizing applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.

• 15+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• Have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
• Experience architecting and deploying cloud solutions in enterprise environments, including migration, modernization, and hybrid architectures.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, DevOps, coding standards, and source control management.
• Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including CxO-level executives, IT management, and engineering teams, with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Experience of Machine Learning/AI including Generative AI and Agentic AI and Agentic IDE tools.
• Ability to make technical trade-offs in relation to best practices (cost vs. performance, short-term vs. long-term impact).
• Experience leading complex technical projects that may require cross-functional team participation.
• Ability to evaluate architectures, identify issues, and remediate (failover, scaling bottlenecks, security, data replication).
• Understanding of the wider solutions market including third-party partners and products.
• Ability to create reusable technical content (whitepapers, reference architectures, blog posts).
• Hands-on skills on AWS or other cloud providers.
