Lean Technologies is a fast-growing fintech company building the financial data infrastructure for the MENA region. Operating in a highly regulated, security-sensitive environment, we serve mission-critical financial services that demand robust SLAs, strict security controls, and highly scalable systems.
As a Staff DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of DevOps, platform engineering, and SRE, owning the architecture, reliability strategy, and scalability of our infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
This is a high-impact role where you will define how infrastructure is built, operated, and scaled across the company not just implement it.
The Moment
Lean has tripled in size over the past twelve months and weʼre on track to triple again next year.
What started as the regionʼs pioneering Open Finance platform is evolving into a multi-product infrastructure company powering payments, data, and lending across MENA.
We are expanding into new markets, launching new products, and operating at increasing scale and complexity.
Weʼve processed billions of dollars in transactions, serve 350+ clients (including Tabby, Tasʼheel, and Hungerstation), and are backed by General Catalyst, Sequoia, and Shorooq.
This role is critical in ensuring our infrastructure can scale securely, reliably, and efficiently to support that growth.
What You'll Do
- Define and own the infrastructure architecture strategy across hybrid cloud (GCP, OCI, on-prem)
- Design and evolve Kubernetes platforms for multi-region scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency
- Establish and drive Infrastructure as Code and GitOps standards across all environments
- Build and scale observability systems (metrics, logging, tracing) to support proactive reliability
- Lead efforts to meet and exceed SLA, SLO, and error budget targets
