Financial Operations Lead

Role Overview

The FinOps Lead is a senior position within the Finance team, accountable for supporting the strategy, performance, and continuous improvement of Mumzworld's financial operations. The role supports the design and governance of financial processes and controls as an individual contributor, works closely across finance operations, and gives the function head and senior leadership the insights they need to make strategic and operational decisions.

The ideal candidate comes from an internal audit background, with a strong grounding in risk, controls, and process reviews, and is now ready to apply that expertise as an independent contributor to strengthen financial operations in a fast-paced, high-growth e-commerce environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Financial Operations Agenda & Strategy: Support the end-to-end financial operations agenda, including contributing to the roadmap for process design, optimization, and scalability as the business grows. Independently lead the identification of process gaps and drive the delivery of solutions from recommendation through to implementation.
• Financial Controls & Governance: Help maintain the internal control framework, including policies, procedures, and Risk Control Matrices. Execute gap assessments, support remediation plans, and act as a key technical point of contact for internal and external auditors to ensure strong governance and compliance.
• Risk-Based Process Reviews: Apply an internal audit approach to independently review key financial and operational processes, such as procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, inventory, and record-to-report. Assess control design and operating effectiveness, perform controls testing, and track audit findings through to closure.
• Financial Analysis & Strategic Insights: Execute financial analysis, reporting, and performance management frameworks. Present insights and recommendations to the function head and senior management to influence strategic and commercial decisions.
