About the Role

We're looking for a Software Engineering Trainee to join the engineering team building the region's leading property marketplace. You'll work on real problems for millions of buyers, renters and agents: our Next.js web experience, the services behind it, and the AI agents and automated workflows we're building with LLMs.

This program is for people who love solving problems. We care less about what you already know and more about how you think: how you break down an unclear problem, the questions you ask, and how quickly you learn. Experienced engineers will mentor you and review your work.

What You'll Do

  • Take unclear problems, break them down, and work with your mentor to scope a solution you can ship
  • Build features and prototypes across our React/Next.js frontend and TypeScript (Node.js) backend, with guidance and code review from experienced engineers
  • Build AI agents and automated workflows on top of LLMs, both for product features and to automate the team's own work, including prompts, tool calling and checking the quality of what the agents produce
  • Dig into data to understand how customers use what we build, and use…
