Line Cook

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team at Ounass.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the preparation and presentation of high-quality food in a fast-paced environment, while working closely with experienced culinary professionals.

Working alongside the Head Chef, Sous Chef and wider kitchen team, you will support the smooth running of your assigned section. From preparing ingredients and cooking dishes to maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards, you will help deliver a consistent and enjoyable experience for every customer.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, quality standards and service requirements.
• Set up and operate your assigned kitchen station efficiently before, during and after service.
• Complete food preparation tasks, including washing, cutting, weighing, marinating and portioning ingredients.
• Follow instructions from the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure dishes are prepared and presented consistently.
• Monitor cooking times, temperatures and portion sizes to maintain food quality and minimise waste.
• Ensure all food is stored, labelled and handled correctly in line with food safety requirements.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and food safety throughout each shift.
• Assist with receiving, checking and storing deliveries when required.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues to support the smooth and timely delivery of service.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen sections to coordinate orders and maintain service flow.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, work surfaces and storage areas in accordance with company standards.
• Report equipment faults, stock shortages, quality concerns or food safety issues promptly.
• Support stock rotation, inventory checks and the reduction of food waste.
• Complete all work accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed procedures.
