Job Summary

Own the motor portfolio end to end, including revenue, technical quality, insurer relationships, claims outcomes, and the teams responsible for leasing, fleet, account management, claims and operations.

Job Objectives

·Lead the motor insurance line and set its strategy, structure, capability and direction.

• Own revenue, retention and growth across commercial fleet, leasing and finance, and corporate staff schemes.
• Maintain strong technical, operational and portfolio controls across placement, issuance and claims.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Portfolio Management

·Own the line's annual plan covering revenue, retention and growth.

• Decide the cover basis for each account and approve terms before cover is bound.
• Run portfolio reviews with panel insurers using the firm's data and negotiate scheme rates and facility arrangements.

Leadership & Technical Capability

·Lead the Leasing & Finance and Commercial Fleet supervisors and their teams.

• Build technical capability across the function rather than correcting cases individually.

Claims & Operations

·Govern the claims desk, including Najm reporting protocol, large and total losses, disputed liability and recovery performance.

• Own the accuracy of the vehicle register and the issuance journey, with reconciliation controls to prevent uninsured vehicles from being missed.

Business Support

·Support Business Development on fleet, leasing and tender pursuits with rate feasibility before client expectations are set.
