OVERVIEW

The Site Technician is a field-based technical role responsible for supporting the installation, operation, and maintenance of WakeCap's Construction Intelligence Platform at active construction and oil & gas sites. The role is primarily execution-focused, working under the guidance of a Project Manager, and contributes to reliable system operation through hands-on technical work and on-site support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

System Installation & Support

• Assist in the installation and setup of WakeCap IoT sensors, gateways, and related hardware at project sites.
• Execute installations according to approved drawings, deployment plans, and instructions provided by the Project Manager.
• Support basic system commissioning and testing activities to confirm equipment is operational.
• Carry out physical deployment tasks including mounting devices, replacing batteries, and connecting power and network components. Technical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks such as sensor health checks, battery replacement, and basic hardware inspections.
• Troubleshoot common and known technical issues related to hardware, connectivity, or power, and escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior technical staff.
• Respond to site technical requests during working hours and support fault resolution activities.
• Record maintenance activities, incidents, and actions taken in WakeCap's service or reporting tools. Site Coordination & Communication
